VCOMM to distribute Busylight UC in UK launch

VCOMM is a trade-only, value-add Voice and Unified Communications distributor. VCOMM provides specialist IP Telephony and convergence products from market-leading manufacturers as well as services and support to the UK Service Provider, Systems Integrator and VAR channel.

VCOMM’s focus is on developing the channel by leverage expertise and experience with Microsoft Lync. By providing everything from hardware to end-points and from consultancy to installation, VCOMM builds out advanced unified communications platforms to drive and enable customers business.

Busylight UC for Microsoft Lync 2010 adds call alert and a presence indicator to any Lync solution. A user of the Busylight UC will now never miss a call by adopting the ring tone feature where no speakers are connected or a headset is not being worn. It goes further by being able to mute the ringtone and utilise the silent flashes to indicate an incoming call. This avoids unwanted noise in open plan offices and identifying an incoming call. Busylight UC displays the current presence of a user status in Microsoft Lync with colours red, green and yellow to further enrich the end user experience.

Toby Fryer, Sales Director comments “I am delighted that Vcomm is bringing the Busylight UC to the UK. This is a great device to complement any Microsoft Lync deployment or to introduce to an install base. It will drive up revenues for new business and current customers as the perfect upsell opportunity. He goes on to add “Microsoft Lync users will be able to relate to the number of issues and complaints that the Busylight UC resolves. I believe that the Busylight UC is the must have end point in any Microsoft Lync roll out”.

Christian Juel Jensen, CEO at Plenom a/s, manufacturer of Busylight comments about the partnership “We are confident that the guys at VCOMM have the proper skills and resources to introduce Busylight UC in the UK. They are going to be a terrific partner for us in a market with great potential.”
