Designed to maximise the financial incentive for channel partners, Viatel's new programme offers margins that take into consideration the profitability of each service and includes broadband, Ethernet, IP VPNs and Viatel's recently launched VoIP services.

Resellers can no longer be seen as a simple distribution channel, but need to identify themselves as a powerful source of new, fully-convergent, IP services. The programme also has a flexible approach to value added services such as billing and first-line support, allowing partners to outsource these complex tasks to Viatel if they do not have the capacity themselves. They can then gradually develop their own expertise, or they can continue to outsource specific functions to Viatel.
