Questmark has been awarded the ISO 27001 security accreditation. As one of the first video-communication specialist – and indeed companies in the UK- to have achieved this International standard – ISO 27001 demonstrates Questmark’s commitment to information security for their customers. Security threats to business, government and charities have previously been a barrier to the deployment and use of video. “This is an amazing achievement for us at Questmark and we are very proud of the whole team’s involvement” Jamie McMaster, Sales and Marketing Director at Questmark said of the news “As an SME it was a big investment of finance and resource to achieve this standard. We are very excited about the possibilities that this accreditation will mean to our future business prospects. We believe we have removed one of the main barriers for organisations to deploy this application.”
ISO 27001 addresses the important security concerns that many organisations’ have, particularly when they are looking at better ways to meet and Travel Free Meetings for important and often confidential conferences.
Jamie explains further that Questmark believe many more public sector organisations will look to their offering which can be provided through the G-Cloud framework; “We have seen our services fit very well within the public sector. Every central government department that has come on to our service has seen usage figures increase substantially, in turn delivering impressive cost savings. ISO 27001 allows us to offer an even wider spectrum of services to even more organisations who want to utilise this technology for meetings that require a level of information security protection – as well as the general conferences that we already support”
To earn the ISO 27001 accreditation Questmark have and continue to provide objective proof that they had maintained their Information Security Management System and their conferencing services to stringent standards continually measured by external, independent auditors. Questmark are now aiming to achieve even higher security standards and are excited to share this achievement with existing and potential customers. Managing Director of Questmark Tommy McMaster expresses exactly what the accreditation means; “As a widely recognisable certification across all the sectors in which we work, it has enormous importance in verifying our focussed approach to delivering secure and well supported business class services. This is an accreditation which reflects the whole culture of our business and the customer focus that underlies all of our activities”
