On Friday, June 22nd, Virtual1’s Marketing team won Best In-House Marketing Team at the 2018 Tech Marketing and Innovation Awards. In a highly fought category Virtual1 beat 9 other outstanding companies to pick up the coveted prize.
The award recognised the work that had gone in to make sure that Virtual1 had the brand, proposition and website appropriate for the launch of its UK wide expansion. As well as the successful communication of that launch to the IT & Telecoms reseller channel in the UK, and supporting their partners to realise the opportunities it presents.
Head of Products & Marketing Neil Wilson commented “2017 was a transformational year for Virtual1, and it is fantastic that the hard work and long days that Kate and Caroline put in be recognised by the wider industry. Our colleagues had given us a fantastic story to tell and we needed to make sure that we did them justice.”
The team played a key role in another year of outstanding growth for Virtual1, with revenues passing £27m last year, up over 30% YoY, with a 150% increase in onboarding on new partners. “We have created a very exciting platform from which we will continue our rapid growth throughout 2018” Wilson added.
In their 10th year Virtual1 evolved from a London based operator and network aggregator to become a UK wide carrier, with the 5th largest UK network. With over 280 fibre exchanges.
