Vodafone UK and Gamma Telecom make first SME wholesale deal

Vodafone UK and Gamma Telecom have signed a Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator (MVNA) wholesale agreement, which will enable Gamma’s channel partners to become full Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs).

The deal is Vodafone UK’s first MVNA which specifically targets the business market and combines Gamma’s extensive channel partnerships with the UK’s best mobile network.

Gamma’s partners will have the opportunity to become full MVNOs, with their own customer relationships, and have direct control over price and branding, so they can offer a wider range of converged fixed and mobile solutions to small businesses.

Tim Stone, Vodafone UK’s Director of Wholesale said: “This is a great opportunity for Vodafone’s award winning network to strengthen the portfolios of Gamma's partners whilst expanding Vodafone’s wholesale expertise into the fixed re-seller market.”

Bob Falconer, CEO at Gamma Telecom, said: “This is the best opportunity in a decade for our channel partners to confidently get back into mobile services with the UK’s best network and knowing that they can compete effectively, differentiate their capability and build real value into their businesses.”

The service is targeted to go live in Q2 2011 and Gamma is looking for interested partners immediately.
