The new business unit, to be known as the On-Line Business Unit, will be dedicated to the key areas of delivery of Vodafone’s Mobile Plus strategy. The On-Line Business Unit will be responsible for Vodafone’s broadband/fixed line offering (Vodafone At Home) and Vodafone’s digital strategy through vodafone.co.uk.
The unit will be led by Karen Thomson, who will have a seat on the Vodafone UK Board. Karen joins Vodafone UK from AOL where her last role was President AOL Europe.
Additionally, Mark Evans has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Mark returns to Vodafone UK from Vodafone Ireland and will replace Emanuele Tournon who returns to Vodafone Italy.
