Voicenet Solutions Dealer in England One Day World Cup Squad

Veteran cricketer and VoIP provider Voicenet Solutions’ accredited dealer Paul Nixon has been selected for the England One Day International team.

The Leicestershire wicketkeeper, who made his England ODI debut at the age of 36, against Australia in Melbourne on 12th January, which England went on to lose by 8 wickets, has been selected for the World Cup squad to be played in the West Indies in March.

Nixon played second fiddle to Alec Stewart earlier in his career, but since then has become a one day and Twenty20 specialist for his county team Leicestershire. Nixon who helps run the dealership J & P Promotions ltd in Leicester, turns his attention to communications during the off season, but gives his all to cricket in the summer and pre-season. Despite that, the appearance of Nixon’s name in the England One-Day party and World Cup squad caused a stir both in the cricket fraternity and at Voicenet Solutions.

David Crombie CEO comments “We are delighted for Paul, it came as a surprise but it’s absolutely great news. He became a dealer for us a couple of years ago and it’s obvious he works extremely hard at anything he puts his mind to. We wish him and the rest of the England team the very best of luck”

“We have a good relationship with England cricketers at Voicenet Solutions. The batsman Kevin Pietersen, first used the hosted VoIP service on tour to India last year. The ex-England fast bowler and Strictly Come Dancing winner, Darren Gough has also joined the team, and we hope there are more on the way.”

England compete with New Zealand and Australia in the month-long CB Series, which started with Australia facing England at the MCG on Friday 11th January, culminating in a final between the best two teams on February 9th.

The Cricket World Cup starts 13th March in Jamaica.
