VOIP Unlimited Complete Major Upgrade

Business SIP trunk specialist VoIP Unlimited has been busy over the last year. Not only has the company been recruiting hundreds of new channel partners and servicing their customer's VoIP requirements, they have also been busy laying the foundations for the next phase of growth.

In 2007 VoIP Unlimited were granted range holder status by Ofcom, being granted over 5.1m telephone numbers. These number ranges can now service customer's requirements in every geographic location within the UK. The company can also issue the new 03 codes for businesses and not for profit organisations, in addition to over 5000 city codes from across the world.

There have been a lot of internal projects to complete this year, says Sales Director Steve Bieniek.

We have listened to our channel and what the demands are from their customers. We realised that we needed to build in more capacity quicker than we anticipated and needed to add additional carrier partners. This work is now complete.

VoIP Unlimited's core network has been upgraded by bringing a third data centre in London online, implementing new redundant fibre connections between all data centres, increasing the number of IP transit providers and installing new session boarder controllers, adding further capacity to handle well in advance of 35,000 simultaneous calls.

As a consequence of building these new networks, the company now have new and improved internal management systems to process orders more effectively, more efficient systems providing improved visibility to customer's SIP accounts and streamlined call data generation.

VoIP Unlimited also implemented a new carrier grade billing system, adapted to meet VoIP Unlimited's specific demands on commission calculations, back end accounting and report generation.

During these projects the team have also had to do their day jobs, servicing an ever growing market demand for SIP trunk services in the SME market.

Most of the new business is coming in from IT integrator partners who are adopting the new breed of IP telephony products such as software based PBXs on linux or Windows platforms.

The popularity of SIP trunking has been growing steadily. It's fairly easy for VoIP Unlimited's channel partners to adopt these new products and services due to the fact that they are familiar with IP technologies and the cost to entry is low.

VoIP Unlimited is the service provider of choice for the IT integrator businesses due to their experience in IP technologies, managed billing and strong partnerships with the IPPBX manufacturers.

VoIP Unlimited work exclusively through channel partners and work with over 20 manufacturers to bring SIP trunking solutions to the business market.
