Upon arrival at the Silverstone track, partners were invited to watch the production of Sahara Force India’s F1 filming program; this included watching Nico Hülkenberg and Sergio Pérez driving on SFI’s home track, before seeing the backstage goings-on of a Formula 1 garage.
Moving onto the Sahara Force India’s Silverstone F1 headquarters with a behind the scenes tour, the partners gained an insight into the intricacies of a working Formula 1™ team. They saw the extent of the innovation, accuracy and technology that goes into each car, the turnaround, from building the cars to racing and how much time and effort the drivers put in for training.
After lunch the fun commenced with an introduction to Porsche’s Silverstone track! This included their very own Driving Experience which teaches how to handle extreme conditions using Porsche’s hydraulic Kick Plate and icy conditions on the infamous Ice Hill.
To conclude the day the partners enjoyed a Porsche Cayenne Off-Road Experience on their extreme off-road terrain course! With 45% declines and ascents, rough terrain and unfeasible side slopes that challenge even the most specialised 4x4s, it was the perfect end to round off a great day.
