Volta Refines Channel Offering with Dale

Volta Data Centres today announces the appointment of Stephen Dale as Business Development Manager to help lead and define the data centre’s messaging for its Channel service offerings. In this role, Stephen will be responsible for introducing new businesses to Volta, targeting value added resellers and system integrators.

Stephen, a former naval communicator, has been in the telecoms industry for 15 years and brings skills in both the managed networks and connectivity fields. His previous work includes account director at GTT and channel account manager for bandwidth infrastructure and network-neutral colocation firm, Zayo Group. Day to day, Stephen was involved in recruiting systems integrators, meeting the commercial teams and developing channel partnerships with the likes of Equinox and Fujitsu.

Prior to his appointment with Volta, Stephen ran his own business, Modus Telecoms in the telecoms channel market, growing the company from a founding start to a £4.5 million turnover over three and a half years before selling it.

Stephen commented, “Data centres are becoming even more critical for businesses to be able to run and provide their services. I believe change is good, so decided to move into the data centre environment to be part of the growing cloud industry.

With many services providers making their first venture into the cloud, it is extremely tough to predict business growth – and data centres that offer great business scalability are becoming even more critical. Volta Data Centres’ Great Sutton Street site is a state of the art facility that offers businesses the flexibility to scale up.”

Stephen adds, “Volta is well equipped for a channel proposition. I hope to add some weight in order to develop opportunities and I am looking forward to introducing new businesses and channel partners, especially those UK specific system integrators.”

Jonathan Arnold, Managing Director at Volta, concludes, “We are delighted to be welcoming Stephen into the Volta team. His previous accomplishments in developing businesses and his channel expertise makes him a real asset to our company. I am assured that Stephen will help us define our messaging for our channel proposition and I look forward to growing the business further with his expertise.”
