WeFix Repair Service Grows After Onecom Support

Onecom has signed a deal with Samsung to roll out its WeFix at-home mobile and tablet repair service across the UK.

WeFix has grown rapidly since receiving a six-figure investment from Onecom in 2017 and is on target to have 51 vehicles on the road by the end of the year. The service currently serves Portsmouth, Brighton, Bristol, Kent, Essex, Coventry, Luton, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Reading, Bournemouth and Southampton.

The collaboration with Samsung will see it operating UK-wide by the end of the year, with customers able to book online at samsungrepair.com by entering their postcode, device model, address and preferred appointment date and time.

Darren Ridge, CEO of Onecom, based in Whiteley said: “We’re delighted that WeFix is to partner with Samsung on an innovative service delivering a new level of value to customers. With fully trained, reliable and trustworthy specialists that deliver a high-standard and convenient mobile service, repairing Samsung devices will be both simple to organise and effective in the long run.”

Brian Ford, Director, Customer Experience, Samsung UK & Ireland, said: “Samsung prides itself in creating innovative product technology which enhances our customers lives and we see the best possible in life support as an extension of that commitment.

“The introduction of this Doorstep Repair service shows our dedication in meeting the high standards of product care and convenience that our customers expect of us. Customer experience is at the core of everything we do, and we’re continuing to develop a whole range of customer support streams to ensure customers get the most out of their Samsung products.”

The company was founded by Oliver Murphy, who in 2014 secured a £50,000 investment from Dragons’ Den star Kelly Hoppen for his business, Reviveaphone. The company later bought back Hoppen’s shares as it evolved into a mobile repair service, before securing investment from Onecom owners Darren Ridge and Aaron Brown.
