Welltel reveals Capstone aquisition

MSPs
Irish communications provider Welltel has acquired the Irish and UK operations of contact centre and UC specialist Capstone Intelligent Solutions.

The acquisition will enable Welltel to deliver its integrated communications, telephony, cloud solutions and managed IT services on a larger scale.

Capstone, a provider of cloud contact centre services and unified communications solutions, reported a turnover of €8.5m in its last financial year. It supports 250,000+ people across 38 countries and includes advanced voice, video, data, recording and customer interaction tools in its bespoke UC solutions offering.

Based in Dublin, Capstone will integrate into and trade under the Welltel brand with immediate effect, the company announced in a statement last week. Its employees in Dublin and London will join the existing Weltell teams in Ireland and the UK.

The acquisition is part of a wider acquisition strategy for Weltell’s growth which will see further acquisitions announced this year, Weltell confirmed.

“Capstone brings a loyal customer base and a highly-skilled, specialist workforce built over a ten-year period to Welltel, and we look forward to continued expansion as a combined entity,” said Ross Murray, CEO Welltel. “Its impressive Net Promoter score of 9 further underscores Capstone’s market-leading customer focused service delivery.”

Fergus Kelly, MD Capstone Intelligent Solutions said that the companies’ services and skillsets complement each other and will allow for acceleration of their upward trajectory, adding: “The synergy between our businesses makes this integration a natural fit.”
