IT distributor Westcoast has launched the Aastra range of IP Phones for Microsoft Lync and the Aastra SIP handset range to its 4,000 reseller partners. In a bid to open new accounts with communication providers (CPs) Westcoast is offering an instant line of credit to any new resellers that make Aastra purchases (subject to status).
Aastra’s 6725ip and 6721ip phones developed for Microsoft Lync are the latest additions to the award winning Aastra range of IP phones. Embedded in the hardware design of the Aastra 6721ip and 6725ip phones is the Microsoft Lync 2010 Phone Edition, offering integration to Microsoft’s Lync Server 2010. This combination provides for a full Lync feature set including simplified installation, management and configuration. Both IP phone models can be used independently from a PC with ‘always on’ operation.
Both phones offer dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, power over Ethernet and ‘HD’ voice quality communications. The Aastra 6725ip also offers ‘Better Together’ working when connected to the Microsoft Lync PC client.
