Westcon has announced the Westcon Tech Xpert Community, an initiative for partners to grow their technical expertise and solution-selling capabilities without any hard-sell involved. It is free to join and open to all partner technical staff looking to expand their knowledge, build their skills and contribute to a supportive and mentoring community. The Tech Xpert Community is for technical people only, vendor agnostic and led by Westcon’s pre-sales solution architects.

Members benefit from exclusive access to community events, both online and offline. Knowledge share events see topics and issues aired where members can engage in an open dialogue with guest speakers, vendor technical leads and Westcon pre-sales team. Members also get priority invitations to seminars, training courses and workshops, fast-track access to Westcon’s highly accredited and extensive support team and individually curated technical news updates.

Mike Cox, Westcon Vendor and Alliances Director, said: “There is a lot of pressure on partners to deliver ever greater value to customers in a more technologically complex world. By sharing experiences and building relationships with technical peers, the Tech Xpert Community gives individuals the opportunity to learn from each other and deepen their understanding of technologies. Ultimately everyone will be able to design and build better solutions at the crucial pre-sales stage and deliver greater customer value. One thing is sacrosanct, no sales or marketing allowed. It is created by technical people, for technical people and all about sharing and learning together.”

Westcon’s Tech Xpert Community is open to all partner system engineers, technical support and pre-sales staff. Registration is via the UK website.
