Distributor Westcon has announced an exclusive agreement with Easynet which see Westcon Convergence provide network services to its entire reseller base.
The upsurge in convergent technologies is responsible for the increased reliance businesses are placing on their networks to enable them to operate efficiently in today’s highly competitive marketplace. Easynet’s entire portfolio, including its MPLS Network, will be carried through Westcon Convergence, and will also be offered through Westcon’s Comstor and Westcon Security business practices in the near future.
David Grant, Vice President and General Manager, Westcon Convergence, commented: “Services are an integral part of a convergence-oriented value proposition. With the UK’s second largest network, Easynet will help us to open up new business opportunities and deliver a greater solution sale opportunity for our customers, carrying with it greater margin opportunities.”
“Westcon and Easynet share a common philosophy in that we really take time to understand our channel partners and work with them to achieve their business goals,” added Alan Ryan, global alliances director of Easynet. “We are very pleased to start providing services to the channel through Westcon and with our combined experience and expertise we can make a very positive impact to the channel.”
Charles Whelpton, Director of Redwood, a U.K.-based reseller, said: “At Redwood, we like to work with the best of breed suppliers such as Avaya. We feel that Easynet has one of the highest quality IP networks in the UK and Europe and therefore provides a complementary service within our portfolio of convergence solutions. We have a well established relationship with Westcon through our Avaya business and we look forward to extending this.”
