Westcon Group Launches Digital Marketing Initiative

Distributor Westcon Group has announced its Westcon Convergence business practice has launched a new digital marketing initiative – providing interactive online tools for its reseller partners. The initiative provides highly functional digital brochures as well as a Westcon Convergence application on the Apps Store, enabling multiple documents to be downloaded to iPad or iPhone.

The move forms part of Westcon Group’s drive to provide cost-effective, relevant marketing support to customers and recognises the changing trends in how customers are accessing information. Guy Koster, European Director of Product Management and Product Marketing comments, “Our vendors’ portfolios are evolving at a rapid pace of change. At the same time, our customers are changing the way they access information – web based viewing is becoming more common place helped by the adoption of devices such as the iPhone and iPad. Our application recognises these trends and enables us to provide customers with the latest information in an easy to access, mobile format.”

Westcon’s range of Avaya collateral has been converted into the digital applications and the application was previewed at Avaya’s recent EMEA Conference in Barcelona. Jonathan Sawyer, MD of Taurus Clearer Communications; winner of an iPad at the event through a Westcon prize draw, enthuses: “The application is one of the best I have used and provides excellent content that will be a great point of sale tool with our end user customers.”
