Westcon has appointed James Matthews as Business Development Manager to head up the Virsae business.
James a former resident of New Zealand worked for: Tesltra, NSC and Avaya managing its top 20 accounts in the lower North Island and across the South Island. His remit is to drive the Virsae Service Management proposition to existing and net new partners encouraging them to incorporate the solution into their existing managed services offering.
Westcon is currently the exclusive distributor for Virsae in the UK which delivers a proactive management platform across Avaya’s communications systems and applications, which will soon extend to other vendor portfolios.
James Matthews, Westcon Convergence comments, “I am very excited to be joining Westcon at present as there isn’t an all-encompassing UC service management and contact centre solution on the market today like Virsae. And as a result the solution is gaining significant traction amongst channel partners, who have identified the revenue opportunities it creates and the ability to differentiate the service through white-labelling it to their own brand. It is very different from traditional monitoring infrastructure-level applications because it is aimed at identifying the things that directly impact and improve business performance including: configuration management, capacity management, and highly proactive availability management.”
The Virsae cloud solution is a relatively simplistic process for partners to accelerate their margins at a reduced time to market by creating a steady revenue stream of monthly charges – ‘sticky customers’, and new revenue opportunities that can be identified when resellers recognise trends or require upgrades when monitoring the end user’s environment.
“The level of interest in the Virsae solution has been overwhelming as partners can see the solution fills a gap in the market and they can increase their bottom line. We are delighted to have James on –board and with his wealth of experience he will bring skills from a vendor, partner and end user perspective. He is the right candidate to drive the Virsae business forward,” said Ioan MacRae, General Manager UK & Ireland, Westcon Convergence.
