Westcon Noxs Division Partners with Networks First

Distributor Westcon has announced that its Noxs security division has signed an agreement with Networks First, an independent provider of support services for network infrastructures. Separately, Noxs announced that it is strengthening its technical services offering and will be providing vendor independent network support services to its growing customer base in conjunction with Networks First.

Noxs and Networks First have formed the agreement to help resellers take advantage of the rapidly expanding services market—which has been particularly strong in security. By partnering together, the companies plan to deliver higher levels of quality and cost-efficiency to an increasingly demanding market, while introducing new groundbreaking services.

Kay Eggleston, Managing Director, Noxs, explained: “Our objective in partnering with Networks First is to deliver more efficient support solutions to our customers. Networks First’s support service is based on service level agreements that deal with the rapid restoration of network services, rather than the traditional break-and-fix approach of many other providers.”

Networks First, which has specialized in security for many years, provides professional services such as consultancy, implementation, maintenance and remote management. These and other services are provided through its established channel model and are customized to meet the requirements of NOXS and its customers.

“Both Networks First and Noxs have a solid track record in providing effective support services,” said Peter Titmus, Managing Director, Networks First. “Security is a critical issue that encompasses the whole infrastructure including WAN/LAN, WLAN, IPT and all attached technology—most companies cannot achieve the level of needed security using solely in-house resources. The only way to ensure complete effectiveness is to deliver security services in a holistic manner.”

Noxs’ strengthened technical services tie directly into its security focused channel program SecurityPoint. Information on SecurityPoint is available through the program website, http://securitypoint.westcon.com, where resellers can take advantage of resources such as Fast Track training seminars, Marketing Services, independent industry analysis and vendor and relevant product information.
