WLTM: Kirk is Seeking Wi-Fi Voice Resellers

In response to increasing demand for wireless voice solutions, KIRK telecom, a SpectraLink company, is seeking to substantially increase its number of channel partners across Europe.

This aggressive drive for resellers follows SpectraLink’s record European growth and the integration of SpectraLink and Danish-based wireless communications specialist, KIRK telecom. Such is the demand for Wi-Fi telephony in Europe, that channel growth is required to satisfy these leads, rather than generate

new sales.

Healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, retail and education are sectors shaping up as early adopters of voice over wireless LAN or VoWLAN. SpectraLink has also found that Scandinavia, Benelux and the UK are leading the take up of wireless technology.

“In Europe, we sell 100 per cent of products through our channel and our market strategy is completely geared around having the partners in place to satisfy market demand,” said Mike McDaid, Sales Director EMEA at SpectraLink. “The surge in demand for voice over Wi-Fi in the past year has been phenomenal. More companies are realising the additional return on investment that can be made by adding voice to existing wireless infrastructures.”

“SpectraLink’s VoWLAN and KIRK’s DECT products are dominant players in the wireless telephony arena. With endorsements from top PBX vendors such as Alcatel, Avaya, Inter-Tel, NEC, Nortel and Siemens, our channel partners have the assurance that our handsets are trusted and reliable. Our technology–agnostic approach means that SpectraLink and KIRK products support a range of communications platforms,” continued McDaid.

KIRK SpectraLink partners will be offered a programme that includes comprehensive and on-going training, technical support, marketing programmes and event support.
