Worksmart Strengthens its Hosted Services

Hosted communications service provider Worksmart Technology, strengthened its existing hosted services offering, by becoming accredited as a Mitel Managed Service specialistPARTNER and installing its own Mitel Multi-Instance Communications Director (MiCD) platform.

The scalable MiCD IP telephony services platform enables Worksmart to deliver even more telephony features and collaboration applications, as hosted on-demand services from a resilient industry standard server platform. It enables Worksmart to deliver feature rich, cloud communications services to medium sized businesses and corporations with many branches or locations, from its data centres in Reading and Bracknell.

Commenting on the new platform Worksmart CEO Chris Daines said, “The MiCD platform from Mitel makes it even easier to deploy communications services. New users and services can be added quickly and efficiently and the enhanced feature set, along with the existing benefits of reduced capital expenditure, zero maintenance costs and the inherent disaster recovery elements, make hosted communications a compelling proposition. We are beginning the task now of migrating our existing Mitel customers across to the new platform making the new features and services available to them.”

Worksmart have been providing hosted communications for since 2006 and took the decision at the beginning of 2010 to no longer offer premises-based systems. Worksmart offer a comprehensive portfolio of hosted services with includes desk based telephony services, conferencing and collaboration solutions and mobility services including mobile VoIP.

Talking about the decision to go 100% hosted, Chris Daines said, “We’ve believed in the future of hosted communications for some time now and the addition of the Mitel Multi-Instance Platform means we can truly offer customers a like-for-like feature set now.”
