Xrio Partners with Bell Micro

Distributor Bell has announced that it has signed a new vendor agreement with Unified Bandwidth Management (UBM) provider Xrio Ltd. As a result of this partnership Xrio’s hardware and software UBM solutions are now available to Bell Micro’s reseller partners enabling them to offer customers quick, effective and economical load balancing and bonding that delivers additional bandwidth and provides resilience to customer’s Internet connections.

Xrio’s technology addresses the issues of Internet connectivity for organisations unaware of the true cost of a connection and that have no business continuity plan if they experience a failure in the service. Integrating the function of Outbound and Inbound Load Balancing, Bonded Internet & VPN and Bandwidth Management, Xrio’s hardware and software products address the issues of resilience and reliability with a single appliance.

“We are the manufacturer of a unique and market leading range of products and it is paramount to Xrio that we communicate our message through a trusted partner, which is Bell Micro. To have access to an established sales channel through a reputable and successful organisation like Bell Micro is the perfect way to take our products to market, and our company to the next level,” said Shelley Garbutt-Wilson, Director of Sales at Xrio.

For resellers of Internet, VPN, Software as a Service and Cloud computing solutions where reliability is paramount, UBM increases bandwidth, ensures resilience and yet can reduce OPEX. This directly translates into new sales opportunities with solid margins of up to 30 percent for Bell Micro’s reseller partners.

“Any company that requires improved performance for applications dependent on bandwidth via the Internet is a potential customer. So for traditional VARs, service providers or integrators, there are tremendous opportunities for increased margin and additional sales,” said Ed Callacher, Networking Divisional Manager at Bell Micro. “Xrio’s fantastic product line is a great addition to the Bell Micro portfolio, and opens doors for our partners to revisit existing customers and engage sales opportunities with new clients.”

Xrio’s product does not require the replacement of firewalls or routers and can be set up with no interruption to existing connectivity and infrastructure. Deployment also helps to remove dependency by easily mixing and matching with both new and legacy lines and routers. The Xrio UBMi offering is a world first with integrated two or four port ADSL routers onboard. Specialist pre-sales and technical support from Bell Micro ensures that it is truly offering a solution that can help resellers achieve sales traction.

“This partnership will allow us to continue to invest in our products to ensure they stay leading edge. We are passionate about what we do and we want businesses to know they do not have to be restricted by Internet access speeds, available bandwidths or quality issues, the alternatives we offer of bonding and link balancing need to be known by every business large and small, then they have the freedom of choice, and Bell Micro is our chosen route,” added Garbutt-Wilson.

Bell Micro is now actively seeking new reseller partners to work with Xrio to deliver UBM products, services and support to UK businesses.
