The company used the exhibition to provide a live public demonstration of its new SIP-T18P low cost ‘simply IP’ phone and unveiled new products including the EHS36 wireless headset adaptor and EXP39 expansion module. It also previewed the T6x series of IP phones which are designed exclusively for OEM applications.
“Convergence South proved itself an excellent platform, one which generated a superb response from delegates who were clearly intent on doing business,” confirmed Yealink’s head of distribution channels. “The newT18P generated particular interest as resellers recognised the timeliness of its launch given increasing migration to SIP technologies and the economic backdrop. Affordability, functionality and reliability are, more than ever, the watch words in the sales process.”
Launched this summer the T18P carries an RRP of just £43.50 (ex-VAT) despite offering a strong feature set which makes it ideally suited to a range of private and public sector applications. With a TI Titan chipset at its core the compact phone offers 20 keys - two programmable - with standard features including voicemail, call transfer, three-way conferencing.
Meanwhile delegates enjoyed first sight of the EHS36 which enables functions on Yealink’s popular T26P and T28P IP telephones to be controlled via Jabra and Plantronics wireless headsets. Approved for use by both of the market-dominating headset brands.
Also catching the eye of visitors to the Yealink stand was the EXP39, a new expansion module which extends the capabilities of the company’s SIP-T26P and SIP-T28P IP phones. This features a 160×320 graphic LCD which can be used to enter user names and 20 physical keys which feature dual-colour LECs to enhance the ease with which functions are set and used. A further 20 keys are available via a page switch feature. In addition the ability to ‘daisy chain’ up to six modules via RJ11 line cord yields a total capacity of up to 240 programmable keys, each supporting all of the handset’s IP/PBX capabilities. These include functions such as BLF, BLA, paging, speed dialling, intercom and call transfer, park, pick up and return.
