Yealink firmware release packs a punch

MSPs
Yealink has released new firmware which significantly increases the functionality of its T2x and T3x series of IP telephones and VP530N video phone.

The v70 release incorporates a time-saving unified Auto Provisioning template covering all models whilst also releasing the power of OpenVPN in the T20PN and T22PN models and hot-desking in the T3x series. The XML browser feature, already supported in the T2x series, is now supported in the T3x series; it enables enterprises to customise the browser to display data relevant to them such as stock market reports and weather forecasts. The PushXML feature, now also supported in the T3x series, in conjunction with the Action URL & Active URI feature integrates with an IP PBX to complement a variety of call applications.

The basic hot-desking functionality has been introduced to the T3x series to assist enterprises in maximising use of their physical space for mobile workers without a fixed work station by enabling the routing of calls and voicemail messages via an IP-PBX to individual devices. To ensure organisations can maximise the full extent of all Yealink features Yealink has worked closely with leading IP-PBX vendors and VoIP carriers to confirm compatibility with key platforms, including Broadsoft’s Broadworks (R18), 3CX, Elastix, Epygi and other Asterisk based IPPBX. These also support the new unified deployment template in addition to providing access to business features such as intercom functionality, call parking and call pick-up.
