Yealink Reveals Compact Gigabit Colour Handset

Yealink UK has unveiled the SIP-T32G, a compact Gigabit colour IP handset designed to exploit the growing popularity of Gbit connections which are 100 times faster than standard Ethernet.

The new model offers similar features but a smaller footprint to its stablemate, the SIP-T38G, which was launched to acclaim in July.

It is equipped with a three inch full TFT-LCD colour display and offers high definition voice across three lines. An in-built GigE switch effectively doubles bandwidth through its full duplex capabilities which enable simultaneous data and voice transmission and support of Quality of Service features. Incorporating Power over Ethernet it also supports the key security standards to protect data - including Open VPN - and is IPV6 compatible.

Commenting on the launch of the new handset, Yealink UK’s managing director, Andrew Roberts, said: “We’re anticipating strong demand for the T32G given it is exceptionally well priced for such a well specified, compact, colour screen model. It has executive appeal whilst also being perfect for reception areas. The response from resellers to whom we’ve demonstrated has been really, really positive.”

The T32G is the latest of a number of innovations recently unveiled by Yealink which include the VP2009 Elite an enhanced version of its popular VP2009 business class videophone. This features an improved screen offering a significantly faster response, superior audio quality, a higher bandwidth camera, three way conferencing and door-phone and IP camera applications.

The company has also confirmed it will shortly release firmware updates to its popular and well established SIP-T22, SIP-T22 handsets as well as the new SIP-T38G. These deliver compatibility with Microsoft’s Lync unified communications platform which harnesses rich presence capabilities across voice, instant messaging, video, audio and web conferencing.
