Revealing the new SIP-T38G to resellers at Convergence Summit North the company said it would be launched in the UK this June with a price tag of £172.50 which is “significantly below” that of a leading brand competitor.
“This is a high-end, high spec handset designed to integrate with GigE networks to support the kind of collaborative technologies which executives increasingly deploy,” commented Yealink UK’s Managing Director Andrew Roberts. “It’s a serious piece of kit, boasting a TI Aries chipset, 11cm high resolution screen and full HD audio but it will be priced in accordance with our strategy of offering premium yet affordable products. The combination of a high specification, excellent build quality and a market-leading price make it a potential game changer.”
The handset follows the design style of the popular T28 – with which it shares a feature set - but offers higher performance. The 16.7 million colour TFT display provides crisp definition to match audio clarity delivered through high definition standards running across voice, codec, speaker and handset. Equipped with Power over Ethernet it also supports the key security standards to protect data - including Open VPN - and is IPV6 compatible.
