Yealink Urges Convergence Delegates to “Seize the Opportunity”

Specialist VoIP manufacturer Yealink is urging delegates to Convergence Summit South to “seize the opportunity” presented by its new low cost simply IP ‘phone.

Demonstrating the new SIP-T18P live for the first time at Sandown Park the company says the new model’s launch could not be more timely as users seek to migrate from analogue to SIP platforms and yet face harsh budgetary realities.

“There’s no doubt people want to upgrade to SIP because they recognise the cost and feature benefits the technology can offer. But whilst they want to invest for future gain they must overcome the immediate obstacle of budget restraint that the current economic climate demands. With a remarkably low price tag and yet offering a strong feature set, the SIP-T18P offers them an ideal solution. For resellers this is an opportunity just waiting to be seized,” argues Yealink UK’s Head of Distribution Channels, Charles Williams.

With an RRP of just £43.50 (ex-VAT) the new model certainly kicks above its weight, the quality of its specification highlighted by incorporation of a Texas Instruments TI chipset. Offering 20 keys, two of which are programmable, its standard features include voicemail, call transfer, three-way conferencing, eight speed dials, call logging and auto attendant. As with Yealink’s SIP telephones it also offers PoE and includes the PSU. Resellers can also benefit from simplicity of installation courtesy of auto provisioning.

Among other products being demonstrated at Convergence Summit South will be the recently launched VP2009 videophone which has just been made available with optional PoE. In line with the brand’s positioning as premium yet affordable this unit retails at only £283.50 (ex-VAT), making it the lowest priced business class touch screen model on the UK market. It features a seven inch digital LCD colour screen offering 800 x 480 pixels, 300K adjustable CMOS sensor camera and supports the most advanced H.264 codec and adaptive bandwidth adjustment technology.

The full series of SIP-T2x will also be on display and visitors will also get their first sight of new enhancements to the four models unleashed by the latest firmware update.

Yealink (UK) will be exhibiting on Stand 25.
