Zen Does Something Funny for Comic Relief

All last week colleagues at Zen Internet have been taking part in a whole range of games and challenges to raise cash for Comic Relief.

The week kicked off with a Table Tennis Tournament. Team honour was at stake, with the final being played on Friday 18th March between Systems Developers Alan ‘The Animal’ Gorton and Fahad ‘Ferocious’ Sarwar.

Also on Friday colleagues took part in The Circle, Zen’s alternative to ITV’s The Cube. A series of light hearted challenges including Exchange and the Multisphere, to test speed, skill, co-ordination and determination to the limit. Laughing was encouraged, cheating was not!

Employees have been Picking a Pose in the Comic Relief competition as well as entering a company-wide quiz. Raffle tickets have been sold all week to win an Apple iPod touch and even the Catering team have got involved with cakes and Red Nose cookies being sold in the staff restaurant.

“The whole week has been a great success. Doing something for money was a great opportunity for everyone to get involved, whether they were taking part in activities, or simply buying raffle tickets or cookies. We are still counting the cash and have so far raised £500 in support of Red Nose Day 2011, helping transform lives across the UK and Africa,” said Mark Bulmer, Zen’s Social and Charities Committee.
