Zen Helps Teacher Cycle to Success

Zen Internet is supporting a Business Studies teacher from Crompton House School in Oldham, as he embarks on a world cycling tour in aid of Rochdale based charity Springhill Hospice.

Tony Ashworth has 12,000 miles to cycle across the world starting from 20th July, and Zen decided to become involved due to its ongoing commitment to the hospice and focus on supporting local projects wherever possible.

Zen provided a cash donation and will also apply technical assistance through offering Web site space for www.fatashysworldtour.co.uk. Crompton House students who have designed this site can then provide online updates on Mr Ashworth’s progress when training and on the tour, also collecting secure online donations.

Tony Ashworth commented on the Zen sponsorship, “We really appreciate the advice, support and sponsorship of the Web site from Zen. It is great to add a technical element to increase donations for this tour.”

Caroline Taylor, HR Manager Zen Internet, commented, “At Zen we work to promote Corporate and Social responsibility across all levels and projects like this, with a link to a local charity like Springhill, allows us to develop this further. Being able to offer a Web site hosting service in addition to a cash donation allow us to bring in our business expertise to help those involved in the cycling tour.”
