Zen Internet research pinpoints business impact of slow or unreliable internet

A new study by Zen Internet has revealed the biggest issues caused by slow connectivity or internet outages.

The research was conducted by Censuswide, with 1,021 respondents who work from home in the UK. 45 per cent of respondents said that the biggest impact of slow and/or unreliable internet connection is frustrated employees and colleagues.

This was followed by loss of business productivity (38 per cent), losing unsaved work (29 per cent), unhappy clients or customers (26 per cent) and missed deadlines (24 per cent) all making up the top five.

Steve Warburton, managing director for partners, Zen Internet, explained, “With so much hype around ‘fast full fibre’, which of course is accessible to an increasing number of businesses and can deliver mind-boggling speeds, the benefits of ethernet leased lines to small to medium sized businesses are getting overlooked.

“But leased lines could be the difference between keeping employee satisfaction high and losing valuable employees due to frustration that internet connection is crushing their ability to work proficiently.”
