ZTE Hit UK Market Through Exertis

Distributors
The Channel Dragons initiative, an innovative service designed to partner major UK distributors with vendors who have growth potential through the channel, has yielded further success after European IT distributor Exertis Micro-P signed ZTE. After a successful pitch by bespoke business development specialists The [Tech] Crowd, who conceived the Channel Dragons programme, Exertis Micro-P will work alongside ZTE to boost its presence in the UK market and facilitate plans for future growth.

With a comprehensive product range covering virtually every telecommunications sector, ZTE delivers custom-made products and services to over 500 operators in more than 150 countries. The [Tech] Crowd successfully presented ZTE’s range and business potential to Exertis Micro-P, who will focus initially on enterprise products including CPE, switches, access points and controllers, and video conferencing and IP telephony products.

“Exertis Micro-P has mature and successful Enterprise and Consumer product strategies and an impressive breadth of resellers that are able to reach a wide variety of customer types, making it an ideal fit for ZTE,” said Jamie Plumridge, Managing Director at The [Tech] Crowd. “Its range is predominantly aimed at the Enterprise market, which makes this a natural starting point, but with additional products for consumers and operators we’re confident that this new partnership can help fully maximise an exciting potential revenue stream over the coming months.”

Commenting on the announcement, Gavin O’Shea, Exertis Micro-P’s General Manager, Networks and Unified Communications, said: “This is a great opportunity to engage with a very experienced and successful vendor team at ZTE. The breadth of technology available allows us to draw together and present first class products from across three of our Business Units.”
