Zycko Launches Reseller Recruitment Drive

Distributor Zycko is launching a UK wide reseller recruitment programme to attract at least 15 new UK reseller partners to sell its award-winning range of 3rd generation open-systems VoIP solutions.

Zycko has signed a number of new vendors for its voice business recently including LignUp, a provider of converged communications solutions, Polycom, the voice and video conference product specialist and Edgewater Networks, a provider of converged network appliances. It is now looking for new partners in the UK to support its growing business.

Prospective partners can also sign up to Zycko’s newly launched two day intensive training courses to increase their understanding of the market for converged solutions and learn about the business benefits of Zycko’s vendor product portfolio.

The distributor says the courses will match the needs of a range of delegates - an introduction to telecommunications and networks is available for new entrants to the market, whilst a more advanced course focusing on IP and VoIP architecture processes and services is available for experienced voice resellers.

Phil Marshman, Director of VoIP Solutions at Zycko comments, “The market for VoIP is finally taking off and we have already seen an increased demand for our open systems VoIP solutions since January. We will further expand our VoIP business this year to take on new vendors who offer leading-edge technology. We are confident that there is a huge untapped market for converged solutions in the UK which is why we are so keen to recruit experienced and new partners to work with us to maximise the opportunities. Our range of vendor products offer plug and play ease of implementation - solutions which are not only uncomplicated but also easy for our partners to sell.”

Recent research of over 3000 UK enterprise IT managers from Vanson Bourne published earlier this year also revealed that the market for VoIP is growing. 57% of respondents will review their voice and data requirements to move towards a converged service in 2006, 54% feel that there are more advantages than barriers to VoIP adoption and 73% would embrace convergence as a means of cutting business operational costs.

Marshman added, “With many IT managers rethinking their voice and data strategies and considering migrating to VoIP this year, there has never been a more opportune time for resellers to move into the market; to gain the knowledge, training and skills they will need to sell effectively. The comprehensive training programmes and the unparalleled industry support we offer to all our reseller partners will ensure they can be confident of their success.”
