Zycko to Distribute AYC IP Telephony

AYC Telecom, a manufacturer of IP telephony products for SMEs, has selected Zycko, a value-add distributor of best-in-class IT infrastructure solutions, to distribute its Session Initiation Process (SIP)-based IP PBX telephony system.

Designed for small businesses that want the cost and application benefits of converged communications, AYC Telecom’s IPcts and IPcts-e IP PBX systems are fully SIP compliant and can fit into an existing open standards environment. This provides resellers with a simple to sell, scalable and feature-rich solution for businesses with up to 50 users.

Simon Emery, sales manager at AYC Telecom, said: “Zycko’s understanding of the VoIP market, extensive reseller network and commitment to best-of-breed open standards solutions made it a natural fit for helping AYC further develop its presence across Europe.”

David Galton-Fenzi, group sales director at Zycko, added: “The demand for converged services from small businesses has largely been overlooked by existing vendors. We see AYC Telecom as the strongest vendor in this space. The IPcts portfolio provides resellers with a truly best-of-breed solution which, due to its flexibility, can also be applied to multiple and remote office environments easily and at such a low price point, making it a leader in commercial viability.”

According to recent research of over 3000 UK enterprise IT managers by analysts at Vanson Bourne, commissioned by Zycko, 57% of respondents would review their voice and data requirements to move towards a converged service in 2006. Similarly, 54% felt that there are more advantages than barriers to VoIP adoption and 73% revealed they would embrace convergence as a means of cutting business operational costs.
