ZyXEL aims to entice new partners with one-time discounts on first orders

ZyXEL Communications UK, a broadband networking company that provides leading Internet solutions for customers ranging from telecommunications service providers, small and medium-sized businesses to home users, is giving new resellers an incentive to sign up as ZyXEL partners by offering them an additional 5 per cent one-off discount on orders of up to £500 placed through distribution on the day that they commit and a 10 per cent discount on orders of over £500.

Resellers that sign up between 1 May and the end of 31st July 2012 will be able to make claims for the additional discount on their first order placed before 31st of August. The incentive has been put in place to give resellers an added incentive to join the growing ZyXEL partner community, says Antony Byford, Head of Channels UK and Ireland for ZyXEL.

“We’ve seen our partner numbers rising steadily and we’re now up to around 1400, with 150 signing-up to the ZyXEL Partner Programme since the start of the year. We are seeing strong demand for our solutions right across the board now and we’ve seen good growth in sales of our core networking, wireless and security appliance solutions. We’re obviously keen for that momentum to continue and we want to bring more resellers on board who have immediate and identifiable opportunities.”

ZyXEL has seen particularly strong growth in its sales to the public sector, Byford noted, on the back of a series of focused campaigns it ran during Q1. “That’s continuing because we are still seeing plenty of new opportunities and we have a series of education workshops coming up that will demonstrate exactly how our Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n wireless and USG security appliances can be deployed in schools and colleges to positive effect.”

He also pointed out that ZyXEL is ready to support all its UK partners with special bud pricing when significant opportunities arise. “We will always work with partners to give them the best possible chance of securing business in competitive situations. We are increasingly seeing ZyXEL solutions being considered as an option alongside the leading brand-names in the networking market and we are winning more of those contests now. That’s not only because we always give resellers the opportunity to make excellent margins, but also because our solutions stand up very well from a technical, performance, reliability and ROI standpoint.”

Resellers that sign up for the ZyXEL Partner Programme benefit from personalised account management, access to UK-based support, access to education resources and exclusive discounts and promotions. ZyXEL works closely with its reseller and distribution partners to ensure price stability and protect resellers from supply issues and currency fluctuations.
