TelcoSwitch appoints new CTO

TelcoSwitch has announced the appointment of Lindsey Sutherland as its new chief technical officer.

Sutherland joins TelcoSwitch from Community Fibre, where he was head of network engineering with responsibility for maintaining and expanding the company’s customer base.

He has over 25 years of experience in leading technology teams and driving innovation across diverse and complex business environments. Having begun his career as an engineer in the armed forces, Sutherland went on to lead data-intensive IT integration projects which spanned maritime, FMCG and healthcare sectors.

Sutherland (pictured) commented, “TelcoSwitch is an exciting business in the rapidly growing communications software market across its channel and direct businesses, with an enviable IP portfolio, and I am enormously excited to become part of the journey as we continue developing our offering to serve key new markets.”

Howard Stevens, CEO, TelcoSwitch, added, “I am delighted to welcome Lindsey to our leadership team. His extensive experience and leadership across mission-critical industries makes him the ideal candidate to guide our technology strategy and deliver on an ambitious roadmap that adds value to our partners and end customers.”

Stevens joined the company in January, with the communications platform as a service vendor having made notable leadership changes over the last year following the exit of Russell Lux, TelcoSwitch’s founder. Sutherland takes up the role with immediate effect.
