Comms Business - Comms Business Golf Society 2024

Time for a change! After 17 great years of Comms Business Golf Society events, the time has come to make a few changes to keep the days running smoothly and to create more for you to enjoy from our events.

To help, I am now working with Phil Pinder from Your Golf Day, a company who specialises in assisting corporate days like ours.

Certainly, though the ethics for the days are the same. We just want you to come and play, whether you are a seasoned pro or an absolute beginner and play & network with other contacts from across the Channel – Resellers, Dealers, Distributors, Cloud vendors, ISPs, software providers, hardware vendors and more!

So, the format of the days, scoring etc, will also largely stay the same, but here are a few new aspects players can look forward to:

A BIG PRIZE to the Champion Golfer of the Year
A 5 night stay and 2 green fees each for 2 people at Apartamentos Isla Canela Golf resort in Spain, donated by The Golf Travel People.

Small Prizes to winners of putting & chipping competitions
New putting/chipping events to take place prior and post golf rounds, with small prizes to win

World Golf Handicap Rules
Where usual society handicaps will apply for new or casual players, regular golfers can use their published Golf England handicap and for all players course slope indexes will now be used.
We are delighted then to announce the new dates and venues for 2024, along with the packages, prices and links for payment. It will be great for you to join us for a bit of friendly competition and the opportunity to play other Channel golfers.

As in previous years, there will be a number of trophies to win, including Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive, Best Team and Individual Winner for each event, and we will be keeping a leader board which means your score from each round will be added together and the top 3 scoring individuals will join the sponsors at the lovely St Georges Hill Golf Club on 14th November. Details of this event will follow the event in September.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL payments (excepting the sponsors fees) are to be made please via the link provided. We also ask please for you to book your place early to guarantee a place. We are limited to around 28 for each venue and are unable with some to extend the number very much (if at all).
