4Com acquires Fairfield Telecom customer base

MSPs
4Com has announced the acquisition of part of the business telecoms customer base of Fairfield Telecom.

The acquisition is the seventh deal in 15 months for the Bournemouth-based telecoms company. Previous transactions were the purchase of Midshire Telecom, Eastern Voice and Data, Reach Digital Telecoms, Southern Business Communications and the telecoms customer bases of both Bluebell Cloud Solutions and Meridian IT Communications.

Fairfield Telecom was established in 2016 and is a Kent-based telecommunications company providing business telephony solutions throughout the UK. Fairfield Telecom will continue to trade following the acquisition.

Gary Scutt, chief executive officer, 4Com, explained, “We are delighted to complete this asset purchase with Fairfield Telecom. As our business continues to grow, we are constantly seeking new opportunities to further our expansion.

“This latest acquisition will complement this growth strategy well and we look forward to welcoming the Fairfield customers to the 4Com family.”

Matthew Thomas, director, Fairfield Telecom, said, “This deal will help us generate additional funds to reinvest into our business. We’ve appreciated 4Com’s approach throughout this process; they’ve been upfront and honest with us, and the deal has gone smoothly throughout.

“We are confident that our customers are in good hands, and we’re looking forward to what the future holds for us thanks to the funds this sale creates.”

Dean Cartledge, chief operating officer, 4Com (pictured), added, “We are absolutely thrilled with our third customer-base acquisition and pleased with how smoothly the transition has gone. We understand the difficult decisions that come with selling parts, or the entirety, of your company and the amount of hard work that is required with an acquisition.

“I would like to thank the amazing teams both at Fairfield and 4Com for their help in making it possible to complete this deal and create a smooth transfer of customers.”
