Exclusive Networks has been selected as a UK distributor by Aruba Networks, provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise. The move will see Aruba engage a new channel of security focussed resellers and major system integrators in a bid to capitalise on the red-hot BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) trend. This reflects the changing emphasis of the vendor toward more security and user management orientated opportunities, distinct as a sales strategy from its traditional wireless infrastructure market.
“Everyone is talking about BYOD, but few are actually confronting its challenges, allowing employees and visitors to bring any device onto the corporate network. Aruba is extremely well placed to deliver on this market opportunity, having developed an exciting range of solutions supporting Network Access Control (NAC) – ClearPass - that make it easy for IT-issued and personal mobile devices to securely connect to any network, while ensuring full visibility and control for the business,” said Jason Dance, Sales Director at Exclusive Networks UK. “ClearPass fits into any existing or new infrastructure, and that will appeal greatly to our reseller community, many of whom we’ve helped really focus onto the BYOD opportunity. This partnership with Aruba underlines everything we’ve been saying about ‘Smarter Social Enterprises’ and complements the rest of our portfolio.”
With the growing prevalence of IT consumerisation and BYOD, enterprises becoming smarter and more social in their outlook are forced to confront the thorny challenges of Network Access Management and Control across a dispersed and complex IT environment. Aruba’s objectives for Exclusive Networks include recruiting, motivating and equipping a select band of resellers capable of addressing this market need, and driving significant sales success for the ClearPass product line specifically.
"To further our commitment to assisting our customers with their mobility requirements, Aruba is expanding its current channel base to include Exclusive Networks," said Duncan Fisken, VP EMEA at Aruba Networks. "We felt their in-house facilities, extensive skills and great reseller relationships provide the necessary base to allow us to accelerate our traction in solving our customers' BYOD challenges."
