Fresh from being named Avaya’s 2008 Distributor of the Year for the UK and Ireland, Nimans has developed a two-day programme specifically for sales professionals on how to position Avaya in the marketplace - and dealers say they are the best sales courses they have ever attended.
“It’s about proposition not just product, spotting an opportunity and also highlighting how Avaya stands out in the market place,” said Avaya Distribution Director, Rob Wiles. “The initiative is about giving resellers the platform and skills to go out and spot the opportunity to sell in the correct space to the right customers.”
Nimans’ customers travelled from as far as Northern Ireland for the third date of the UK tour, which recently took place at the company’s Manchester headquarters. Nimans estimates that so far around 50 dealers have attended the seminars, with many more to follow in 2009.
Systems Sales Director, Phil Adams, says further dates have been confirmed for February 16th and 17th at Nimans and also on February 23rd and 24th at Welwyn Garden City.
“The new venture complements our existing workshops so that resellers have a defined action plan covering a rolling six month period.” says Phil. “We want them to be fully up-to-date on all the different products and applications available. The feedback so far has been tremendous; we’ve had correspondence from several dealers to say this is the best course they have ever been on.”
