DWS takes on the Jurassic Coast

Digital Wholesale Solutions (DWS) has shared details on a sponsored hike along the Jurassic Coast that the team will take part in this Friday (19 May).

The company aims to raise a minimum of £10,000 for Dementia UK via a combination of hiker, partner, and company fundraising. CityFibre is also supporting the event with sponsorship and five of its team will join the expedition.

50 members of the DWS team will tackle steep hills and rugged clifftops along a 14.5-mile stretch of the trail, starting at Kimmeridge Bay, and ending at Swanage Beach in Dorset.

Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity. It provides continual support and development for its nurses who provide expert care for families affected by all forms of dementia.

Terry O’Brien, CEO of DWS (pictured), said, “It’s a great pleasure to see so many of our team coming together from all areas of the business and from across the country. Nothing bonds a team like the physical and mental challenge of a long-distance hike!

“Not only will this challenge raise money for Dementia UK, a fantastic charity, but the relationships built during these events and the positive impact on our wellbeing cannot be overstated. I’d also like to say a big thank you to CityFibre for getting involved and kindly agreeing to sponsor this fantastic event.”

Joanna Sullivan, head of community fundraising, events and innovation, Dementia UK, added, “We are so grateful to DWS for taking on this incredible challenge for Dementia UK.

“Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia. Thanks to the hard work of our amazing fundraisers like DWS, more families than ever will be able to access the life-changing support offered by our dementia specialist Admiral Nurses and national Dementia Helpline.”
