EVAD to merge with Century Mobile

Communications and business telecoms provider EVAD will merge with mobile telecoms firm Century Mobile. Derby-based EVAD will take over Century Mobile in a move the companies say will “provide new clients with a whole host of additional integrated communication solutions”.

Matt Hill (pictured), chief executive, EVAD, explained, “As a company, we are keen to grow and support local businesses. Derby has always been a place which means a lot to us and we have strong connections with the community and businesses in the region.

“We have worked with Century Mobile and for a number of years now so when Scott was looking to retire it seemed the ideal opportunity for EVAD to support the business going forward. It is an exciting time for the company, and we look forward to continuing the longstanding relationships already built, as we offer our innovative, integrated approach to telecommunications in Derby."

Scott Harrhy, former chief executive at Century Mobile, started the company seven years ago and will retire at the end of the month. Harrhy said, “The business has been built with great customer service at its heart.
