As well as high quality, affordable mobile phones, Exertis Micro-P chose Kazam because of its focus on a complete service wrap for customers. Kazam currently provides users with Kazam Rescue for call centre remote access to fix consumer devices in one call, and Kazam Screen Repair, where consumers are able to get a cracked screen replaced for free in the first year of a device’s life. This range of service areas will be expanded on in the near future.
Together, Exertis Micro-P and Kazam will be developing joint service propositions to further extend the value-add that Kazam currently offers to customers. This is in line with Exertis Micro-P’s focus on providing services to its partners, a commitment that has recently been expanded through the distributor’s acquisition of IT services provider, Cohort.

For senior users, the Kazam Life range of smartphones include large well spaced keys and large menu icons, and importantly the Smart SOS button on the back of each device that users can preprogramme to call up to five four people in case of an emergency; the SOS feature is smart because the device recognises if a call goes through to voicemail, triggering it to call the next person on the list until it gets through to someone the user can talk to, or it will then send those people a text message to alert them.
For the first smart phone market, Kazam has two ranges of devices to suit the high spec requirements of this segment, along with an affordable price point. These are: the Kazam Trooper range, designed to deliver the right level of high spec technology at the right price; and the Kazam Thunder range, which provides the ultimate in tech performance for the increasing demands of technology fanatics.
Common to all Kazam smartphones are Dual SIM, removable battery and upgradable memory.
Kazam was set up by CEO Michael Coombes and James Atkins, chief marketing officer, in November 2013. Both are former HTC executives who saw a gap in the market for a disruptive mobile brand that would deliver the highest quality at a significantly lower price.
Kazam is currently in the process of getting the required operator approvals in the UK to create the largest addressable market possible for its devices.
