Focus Group has appointed Jon Daveney as chief strategy and transformation officer.
In this newly created role, Daveney will work with the executive leadership team to define and execute the company’s strategic direction while leading operational transformation initiatives to drive scalable growth and enhance customer experience.
Daveney brings experience in driving transformation within high-growth technology companies. Most recently, he served as value creation director at private equity firm Hg Capital, where he partnered with CEOs and boards across portfolio companies to develop and implement value creation strategies. Since Hg Capital’s investment in Focus Group in June 2024, he has been working closely with the Focus Group team to define the company’s strategic vision and transformation initiatives.

Prior to his time at Hg Capital, Daveney spent five years at OC&C Strategy Consultants, advising clients across the technology, retail and leisure sectors on corporate strategy and transformation. His background spans corporate strategy development, commercial optimisation and operational scaling across a range of businesses - from high-growth SaaS firms to well-established technology service providers.
