OFNL to acquire FibreNest from Persimmon Homes

Deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete this summer.

OFNL has announced it intends to acquire FibreNest from Persimmon Homes.

FibreNest will become part of OFNL’s group under the ownership of BUUK Infrastructure, subject to regulatory approval.

OFNL is a telecoms infrastructure provider that was founded in 2006. The company specialises in providing full fibre broadband networks for new-build residential and commercial developments.

The company’s networks are designed to be ready for service upon occupancy, minimising disruption and ensuring immediate connectivity.

FibreNest was established by Persimmon Homes in 2018 and has provided full fibre to Persimmon housing developments across the UK.

John Marsh, director, OFNL (pictured), said, “This acquisition marks a significant milestone for our business, and we’re delighted to welcome FibreNest customers to OFNL. In the coming months we plan to work through a programme to integrate our networks, which will ultimately deliver more choice and even better service to our customers in 2026.

“We’re also thrilled to welcome the FibreNest team, whose skill, expertise and industry knowledge have been instrumental in their business success so far.  We look forward to working together to deliver more resilient connectivity, growth and innovation to even more communities.”

OFNL has 18 ISP partners including Connexin, Link Broadband, Go Internet and Rocket Fibre. Partners offer customers a range of broadband, phone, and television packages via OFNL’s infrastructure.

The acquisition is expected to complete by early August, subject to regulatory clearance.
