Cloud data management company Rubrik has announced two key appointments in EMEA. Martin Brown is now VP for EMEA, and Jan Ursi has joined the company as senior director for EMEA channels and technology partners.

“I’m thrilled to continue to partner with customers on their cloud transformation journey,” said Brown. “We’re already helping many organisations across EMEA do more with their data - facilitating visibility, security and compliance, as well as enabling them to utilise their protected data to drive insight and opportunity.”

Brown steps up from his previous role with Rubrik as RVP for UKI, Middle East and Africa, having previously been director for western EMEA at Rubrik. Before coming to Rubrik, Brown spent seven years at Dell EMC.

In his new role, Brown will be responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy for EMEA, introducing more data-forward enterprises to the Rubrik cloud data management solution.

Jan Ursi will lead Rubrik’s partner sales and technology alliances business in EMEA, helping partners embark on the cloud data management era. Before Rubrik, Ursi contributed to growing the UiPath partner business in EMEA and also founded and scaled the Nutanix business in the region.

Ursi added, “I am so happy and honored to be part of the Rubrik team and mission, collaborating with partners and technology alliances building the future of the Cloud Data Management era in EMEA."

Founded in 2014, Rubrik’s cloud data management solution combines traditional backup with the ability to recover, manage, and secure data across public and private clouds. It ended the last fiscal year with over 2500 customers globally and has obtained an audited NPS score of 82.
