Global colocation provider Telehouse International Corporation of Europe has appointed Takayo Takamuro to the role of managing director.

Takamuro previously held the role of deputy managing director for Telehouse Europe and will now have full responsibility for the company’s leadership and development in her role as MD.

She will play a key role in driving innovation and improving customer experience across the business and will be based in London, Telehouse’s European headquarters.

Takamuro has over 25 years’ experience in the data centre industry, joining Telehouse in 2021 from parent company KDDI, a Japanese telecommunications provider. She began her career in telecoms in 1995, before leading global sales and business development for manufacturers and finance companies.

In a statement announcing her appointment, Telehouse said that Takamuro will bring excellent strategic skills to Telehouse whilst leading initiatives including staff welfare, client satisfaction and the company’s ongoing sustainability efforts.

“It’s a very exciting time to be leading Telehouse Europe,” Takamuro commented. “The company has a long-established reputation for excellence in the connectivity and data centre market, and we are deeply committed to bringing reliability, resilience, and best-in-class connectivity to each and every one of our customers across the continent.”

Telehouse Europe is at a key point in its growth. With the launch of its largest facility, Telehouse South, in London Docklands in the spring, the provider said it has seen unprecedented demand levels from customers seeking the connectivity, scalability and security of its ecosystem.

The new data centre is the company’s fifth Docklands based data centre and aims to support the growing need for resilient colocation services as well as access to leading cloud players and managed services.
