The ITP welcomes new board members

The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) has announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors.

The new board members are Joanna Parker, business development and delivery director at Ricoh, Joshua Fowler, process analyst at GTT, and Nigel Linge, professor of telecommunications at the University of Salford.

The board of the ITP governs the work of the ITP and is comprised of senior specialists from across the sector. They bring expertise gained in other industries and together are responsible for running the business on behalf of ITP members.

Charlotte Goodwill, CEO of the ITP, commented, “We are pleased to welcome Joanna, Joshua, and Nigel to the ITP board of directors, each of whom brings fresh and unique perspective, as well as varying experiences and knowledge.”

Nigel Linge (pictured above, right) is the chairman of editorial board for the ITP’s Journal. He has extensive experience in research and publishing and is a professor of telecommunications supporting the next generation of telecoms professionals.

Joanna Parker (pictured above, centre) began her career in telecoms in 2004 and is the driving force behind the Ricoh Vision programme, creating a diverse and inclusive workforce. Parker will bring this wealth of knowledge and experience to help further the ITP’s mission.

Joshua Fowler (pictured above, left) was one of the first apprentices to join the ITP’s apprenticeship scheme back in 2013, and he was awarded ITP Apprentice of the Year in 2014. He will look to help drive the ITP to create more job opportunities for young professionals, supporting them throughout their professional development.
