The launch of the Medical Buying Group

Roger Gooden, founding partner and CEO of the Medical Buying Group, explains how resellers can achieve certain revenue in uncertain times...

The Telco and IT channel had been searching for new and innovative revenue streams even before the devastation of the Coronavirus pandemic. Over the past few years, my co-founder Jonathan Rutter and I have been working closely with GP surgeries and professionals in the healthcare sector. We met working at the iFace Group, where healthcare clients formed a majority of our customer base.

Having delivered their telecoms and IT services, we began to recognise the pains and headaches the healthcare sector has been facing when it comes to their supply procurement processes. Working with several GP Practices and healthcare workers, we started to build a concise picture of what the ideal medical supply provider should be. Then, we got to work on making the Medical Buying Group (MBG) a reality.

In early 2020, we invited Anthony Davy, former Vice President of Genpact, to join as Managing Director. Together we have formulated how MBG will work and operate – using technology to deliver an enhanced customer experience, with a focus on our core values of transformation, transparency, and trust.

MBG is challenging the status quo when it comes to medical procurement, with the use of technology to innovate the ordering process. We have built an online portal where members can view products, order from trusted suppliers, track their budgets, view monthly savings and view their rebate based on their cumulative annual spend.

Our company launched in August 2020, and we are now opening this opportunity to selected channel partners. I am excited to announce that we will be offering a generous revenue stream as part of an influencer or partnership model.
