Vodafone increased its total revenue by two per cent to €37.4 billion in FY25, according to its preliminary results.
Its strong service revenue growth was partially offset by foreign exchange movements in the 12 months ending March 2025.
In the UK, Vodafone’s total revenue climbed 3.4 per cent to €7.1 billion due to service revenue growth and the appreciation of pounds sterling to the Euro.
The company’s service revenue on a reported basis grew by 2.8 per cent to €30.8 billion and on an organic basis increased 5.1 per cent, with an anticipated slowdown in Germany more than offset by growth across the rest of Europe, Africa and Turkey.
In the UK, its organic service revenue rose 1.9 per cent, with strong commercial momentum in its consumer segment supported by its investment in customer experience.
Vodafone’s adjusted EBITDA on an organic basis also increased by 2.5 per cent to €10.9 billion.
In the UK, it reported adjusted EBITDA of €1.6 billion.
Meanwhile, the company grew its fixed line broadband base by 61,000 customers in the UK to a total of 1.61 million.
In terms of its UK fixed broadband services, the operator reported an increase of 227,000 customers in FY25 – an addition of 61,000 in Q4 – partly due to being widely available across both Openreach’s and CityFibre’s national networks. The provider now covers 19.4 million households with gigabit speeds, up from 18.4 million in the previous quarter.
Margherita Della Valle, group chief executive of Vodafone, has also committed to invest £1.5 billion in upgrading its UK network this year. He said that the company will focus on widening its network coverage and making technical improvements that will help integrate its network with Three’s network after the merger.
Della Valle added, “Since I set out my plans to transform Vodafone two years ago, Vodafone has changed.
“We are seeing the positive impact of our drive for customer satisfaction in all our markets – most noticeably in the UK and Germany – and we have delivered strong operational improvements across the business. This period of transition has repositioned Vodafone for multi-year growth.”
