Wavenet snaps up Fidus

Wavenet has announced it has acquired Fidus Information Security Limited, with the deal expected to strengthen Wavenet’s penetration and security testing capabilities.

Fidus provides security services to organisations across the UK and holds several recognised certifications, including National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) CHECK approval and Crest accreditation.

Kurtis Baron, founder and managing director, Fidus, said, “[This] represents an exciting time for us, Wavenet’s passion and dedication to invest in cybersecurity will enable us to extend our reach into new markets.

“Together we will continue to grow our existing cybersecurity offerings and guide organisations in every aspect of their IT security systems. I am immensely enthusiastic about this acquisition, and what the future will offer to our customers and our staff.”

Philip Grannum, chief commercial officer, Wavenet, commented, “UK organisations have experienced growing cyber threats and many of them are ill-prepared giving hackers the opportunity to infiltrate networks.

“This acquisition is part of our strategy to innovate and strive to offer our customers solutions that will future-proof their organisations.”

Bill Dawson, CEO of Wavenet (pictured), said that Fidus has “a talented team who have a passion for operating at the highest standards”. He added, “I look forward to our continued growth and success as we integrate Fidus into the Wavenet Group.”
