The company describes the platform as the first virtualised service platform for IT resellers and managed service providers (MSPs), enabling them to transact digitally and automate deployment and delivery of any IT service.

It provides access to a range of services such as security and data protection services, and aims to enable service providers to build and deploy their own customised offerings.

ZaveIT is a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) venture from Fred and Lars Habberstad, entrepreneurial brothers behind several Norwegian technology companies. Fred was co-founder and CEO of cybersecurity specialist Watchcom prior to its 2018 acquisition by Combitech, part of Saab. Lars was previously co-founder and CEO of Purity IT, a cloud storage company acquired by Dustin Group in 2017.

The company has hired Andy Palmer, who brings extensive channel experience, to the role of director of international sales. Palmer (pictured above) will lead ZaveIT’s activities outside the Nordic countries.

Palmer said that the way IT services are sold and delivered has changed ‘dramatically,’ with ZaveIT’s aim being to allow resellers to adapt to this reality.

“If you visit most service resellers' web pages today, you'll meet the 'contact us' schema when purchasing any service,” Palmer told Comms Business. “This isn't how anyone wants to buy their services today or in the future. They want the 'click and buy' Amazon or Tesla approach.

“With ZaveIT, the reseller can build unique white label services, based on their choice of external and internal services to bundle and build exactly what their customers demand and need.

“We also offer business and service management automation, enabled by service simplification through service virtualization and unique management methods such as risk-driven management.”

The service aims to solve several challenges for resellers and MSPs, he added, which include reducing management costs, overcoming a lack of resources, and differentiating themselves in a crowded marketplace.

ZaveIT has signed up ten resellers since its Norwegian launch in July and is in advanced discussions with another 40 service providers. The UK is its first target market outside of Norway. According to Palmer, the company anticipates that its first UK-based resellers will be able to go live with ZaveIT next month.

“The Channel operates in an environment where there is a widespread shift from analogue to digital business and is seeing customer expenditure shift from capital to operational expense, and pay-as-you-go models,” Palmer said.

“The ZaveIT platform was specifically built for IT resellers and MSPs, helping them start or grow their services business and deliver new ways to earn more recurring revenue and increase profitability.

“Customer needs have changed, driven by staff and skills shortages, rising costs and a sluggish economy, and ZaveIT provides a solution that automates repetitive tasks, improves productivity and provides the resellers with a broad portfolio of services that differentiates them and gives them a competitive edge.”
